'No pressure' for Kaymer

Martin Kaymer has claimed that he will enjoy being involved in the frantic race for a Ryder Cup qualifying spot this month.

The Titleist golfer is one of several players chasing an automatic place in Nick Faldo''s team, with three berths remaining as the European Tour heads to Holland for the KLM Open this week.

Kaymer currently lies in 11th place on the points list and knows that a win in Zandvoort could lift him above Soren Hanson, Oliver Wilson and Justin Rose into seventh.

However, the 23-year-old German told Reuters this week that he remains relaxed about the season-closing scramble for points and the possibility of making his Ryder Cup debut.

"It''s getting really tight now for the last few places, but I''m not feeling the pressure," Kaymer said.

He added: "I see it as a challenge and in fact I''m enjoying it."

Born in Dusseldorf, Kaymer was named the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year in 2007 and won his maiden European Tour event at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship in January.
