Hull secures first victory in Canada

Katharine Hull won the Canadian Women''s Open to clinch her maiden victory on the LPGA Tour yesterday.

The 26-year-old Australian was the beneficiary of a final-round collapse from Taiwanese teenager Yani Tseng, who led by four shots going into day four at Ottawa Hunt.

With Hull carding a 69 to finish 11 under par, Tseng hit a double bogey and five bogeys to slip down into third on nine under, while South Korea''s Se Ri Pak was second after a closing 72 left her ten under.

An LPGA Tour member for five years, Hull described winning her first title as "a dream come true" afterwards.

"It''s just something that all of us out here dream about as kids and to finally have it come to reality is just amazing," she said.

World number one Lorena Ochoa tied for fourth on seven under par, while 18-year-old Michelle Wie finished joint 12th on three under.
