Chris Wood is set to leave the amateur ranks following his joint-fifth place finish at The Open Championship earlier this month.
The 20-year-old has signed for the International Sports Management group, joining top golfers such as Callaway''s Ernie Els, Ping player Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke.
Describing his recent experience at Royal Birkdale as "the best week of my life", Wood said that he was now "looking forward to an equally exciting and successful future" as a professional.
The Bristol player, who at 6ft 5in cuts an imposing figure on the golf course, finished seven shots adrift of champion Padraig Harrington to take the silver medal at The Open.
Wood''s performance was hailed as the best by an amateur at a Major event since a 17-year-old Justin Rose finished tied for fourth at the 1998 Open, which was also held at Royal Birkdale.
He will begin to receive European Tour invitations immediately and has already been slated to appear at the British Masters in September.
