Kenny Perry has insisted he will not have a last-minute change of heart and play at the Open Championship.
The 47-year-old has pocketed more than $3.5 million (£2.2 million) in prize money so far this year and is currently in third position in the FedEx Cup.
He secured his second win of the season at last weekend''s Buick Open and could head to Royal Birkdale later this month as one of the most in-form players in the Open Championship field.
However, TaylorMade professional Perry has agreed to play at the US Bank Championship in Milwaukee during the same week as the Major and still intends to do that instead of crossing the Atlantic.
"I''ve already committed to Milwaukee and I''m not going to back out on them. Next year I''ll probably play all the majors," Perry explained.
The world number 19, who looks certain to be a part of this year''s US Ryder Cup team, has missed the cut twice in five previous appearances at the Open Championship. |
