Sir Sean Connery has voiced support for Donald Trump''s controversial golf resort on the east coast of Scotland.
The US billionaire''s plan for a £1 billion golf development on Aberdeenshire''s Menie estate is currently the subject of a public inquiry, with environmental groups opposing the project due to the area''s protected sand dunes.
However, Sir Sean told BBC Scotland this week that Mr Trump''s plan has his approval, providing the environmental concerns are properly addressed.
"It seems to be a rather marvellous opportunity," the 77-year-old former James Bond star said.
Sir Sean will narrate a new film promoting Scotland as an international golf location, it was confirmed on Sunday.
Entitled Scotland the Home of Golf, the feature will highlight the country''s status as the birthplace of the sport and is due to premiere at the Ryder Cup in September.
