The distinctive voice of Sir Sean Connery will feature on a new publicity film for the Scottish golf industry, it has emerged.
Entitled Scotland the Home of Golf, the film highlights the country''s status as the birthplace of the sport and encourages golf fans to visit its many courses.
A series of Homecoming events will take place in Scotland next year, celebrating the 250th anniversary of national poet Robert Burns'' birth. With Ayrshire course Turnberry hosting the 2009 Open Championship in July, golf is expected to play a prominent role in the festivities.
Scotland the Home of Golf will be shown for the first time at Kentucky''s Valhalla Golf Club in September, when the 37th Ryder Cup begins.
Although known for his love of golf, Sir Sean will perhaps not be seen on the course for a while after he dislocated his arm while playing recently.
The 77-year-old appeared with a sling on his arm at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last week, with his wife revealing that he sustained the injury after falling on a golf course in the US.
