Titleist''s golf balls were used by two of the top-three players at last weekend''s Players Championship in Florida.
The golf equipment maker revealed that runner-up and "fan favourite" Paul Goydos used balls made by the company, while third-place Jeff Quinney also played his rounds with the same set.
When taking into account overall usage during the tournament, balls made by Titleist were the most popular among the field of players.
In total there were 94 golfers who used the brand, while its nearest competitor had 17 players using its golf balls.
According to a company statement, Titleist also proved to be the most-popular choice for wedges (130 players) and putters (46 players). Additionally, the firm was the second-highest provider of drivers (32 players) and iron sets (30 players) during the competition.
Other Titleist golfers include American trio Billy Mayfair, Davis Love III and Ben Curtis.
