Padraig Harrington has commended Irish golfers on their recent dominance of the European Tour.
A win for Peter Lawrie at the Spanish Open last week was a third successive victory for Irish players, with Darren Clarke recently claiming the Asian Open title and Damien McGrane coming out on top at the China Open in April.
In an interview with the Daily Mail this week, Harrington was keen to congratulate his compatriots on their efforts and admitted that their success has put more pressure on him.
"They have been fantastic wins for Irish golf but I don''t think you had to be Irish to enjoy them," the world number 11 said.
"What was interesting to me was the way Peter was obviously inspired last week by Damien''s win a fortnight earlier," he added.
Harrington finished tied for fifth at the Masters last month and will be appearing in his first tournament since Augusta when he takes part in the Players Championship this week.
The Dublin-born golfer clinched the 2007 Open Championship title when he beat Sergio Garcia in a four-hole playoff.
