Paula Creamer secured her sixth LPGA Tour victory with a playoff win over Juli Inkster at the SemGroup Championship on Sunday.
Both US players finished two under par at the Oklahoma event, but Creamer clinched the title with an eight-foot birdie putt at the second playoff hole.
Inkster, 47, was attempting to become the oldest tournament winner in LPGA history - she won eight of her 32 titles before Creamer was even born.
The 21-year-old described herself as "mentally done right now" after the victory, which came shortly after she was narrowly beaten in a playoff by Annika Sorenstam at the Stanford International.
World number one Lorena Ochoa finished three over par despite a final round of 69. She was also bidding for an LPGA record, as victory in Oklahoma would have been an unprecedented fifth consecutive tournament success for the Mexican.
