Tiger Woods has admitted that he is unable to set a definite date for his return to competitive golf.
The Nike player underwent arthroscopic surgery on a knee injury after the Masters this month and could face up to six weeks on the sidelines while he recovers, Golf.com reports.
Woods was expected to be back in contention in time for The Players Championship in May, but he is now unlikely to return until the US Open, which begins on June 11th. However, even his appearance at Torrey Pines cannot be confirmed.
The 13-time Major winner said last week: "I really don''t have a timetable for returning to competition.
"The doctors have said I should be able to play again in four to six weeks, but nothing is certain."
Woods also denied that the knee problem was a factor in his failure to win at Augusta this year, instead blaming difficulties with his putting stroke.
The 32-year-old''s last Major victory came at the PGA Championship in August 2007.
