Ochoa becoming ''Tiger of the women''s game''

Lorena Ochoa''s recent dominance of the LPGA Tour has seen the Mexican player mentioned in the same breath as Nike golfer Tiger Woods with increasing regularity.

The 26-year-old recently won her fourth tournament in four weeks at Florida''s Ginn Open and has entered the Hall of Fame on account of her seemingly unassailable position at the top of female game.

Unlike Woods, Ochoa is still on course for a Grand Slam having clinched the Kraft Nabisco Championship title earlier this month and, with the US player only managing second place at the Masters, her achievements this year could surpass her male counterpart.

Commenting on the comparisons with Woods recently, Ochoa said: "That''s more the fans and the media point of view.

"But to be able to put my name next to him is always an honour and I''m happy with that."

However, golf fans hoping to see the two world number ones go head to head are likely to be disappointed - Ochoa recently revealed that she has turned down several offers to play in a PGA Tour event and has no plans to do so in the future.
