Trevor Immelman''s hectic schedule in the aftermath of his Masters triumph suggests that he will be comfortable with the increased media spotlight his success is bound to bring.
One day after donning the green jacket at Augusta, the Nike golfer was taken from Georgia to Madison Square Garden to watch New York Knicks take on Boston Celtics from a courtside seat, the Associated Press reports.
As an avid basketball fan, Immelman spoke of his pleasure at meeting some of the NBA''s biggest stars in the Celtics locker room at half-time.
The South African said: "It''s kind of weird to see superstars congratulate me on something I''ve done.
"I''m standing next to Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett and I''m belt-high - it''s pretty incredible that human beings are that damn big."
Immelman also found time for a photo shoot on top of the Empire State Building and appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman during his time in New York City.
Last week the 28-year-old became the first South African golfer to win the Masters since Gary Player claimed the title in 1978.
