Brandt Snedeker of the USA has gone to the top of the Masters leaderboard on the second day of the tournament.
Three birdies - on the second, sixth and seventh - helped him soar ahead from three under to be tied with Nike golfer Trevor Immelman of South Africa.
Snedeker has so far notched up seven birdies in the Masters, as have Immelman, Brian Bateman, Johnson Wagner and Lee Westwood, who shot all his in the first round and is yet to tee off for the second.
The most birdies ever hit in a single round at the Masters occurred when Nick Price hit ten in the third round in 1986.
Tied in the third place at the moment are American Steve Flesch and Justin Rose of England, who is expected to tee off tonight.
Yesterday saw Immelman and Rose, who are close friends as well as competitors, share the lead after ending the day on 68 - four under par.
