Johnson ''could win Masters again''

Vaughn Taylor has backed Zach Johnson to be in contention for another Masters triumph this time round.

According to the Cleveland golfer, the 2007 champion could win the tournament again this year, particularly if the other top players at Augusta continue to underestimate the American.

Describing Johnson''s Masters triumph last year as "special", Taylor said that while he was not surprised by the Iowa-born player''s performance, many people in the professional golf community were, Macon.com reports.

Although Tiger Woods may still be favourite to don the green jacket later this week, Taylor claimed that Johnson''s "mental toughness" will again make the Titlist golfer difficult to beat at Augusta.

"He could definitely contend this year and he could definitely win another Major," Taylor commented.

Taylor was born in Virginia but moved to Georgia as a young child and was raised in Augusta. He has two wins on the PGA Tour, clinching the Reno-Tahoe Open in 2004 and successfully defending his title in 2005.
