Colin Montgomerie''s wedding celebrations later this month will include an appearance from Robbie Williams, it has been rumoured.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Yonex golfer has asked Williams to perform at the event on April 19th, when the 44-year-old Scot will marry Gaynor Knowles on the banks of Loch Lomond.
The former Take That singer will not be the only celebrity at Monty''s party, with Chris Evans set to act as compere for the evening and Hugh Grant also expected to be among the guests.
Montgomerie refused to confirm the rumours earlier this week, claiming that he was "not allowed to say anything". However, he went on to promise that the wedding would be an "extraordinary event".
The father of three became friends with Williams after meeting him at a celebrity golf competition in 2005.
Montgomerie failed to qualify for the Masters this year and recently hit out at the invitation system, claiming that some players were selected to play for "TV rights" rather than golfing reasons.
