Camilo Villegas is hoping that this week''s WGC-CA Championship at Doral will provide him with an opportunity to discard the "underachiever" tag which has begun to dog his career.
Despite playing some blistering rounds during his rookie year on the professional tour in 2006, the Cobra golfer has won just one event as a pro - last year''s Coca-Cola Tokai Classic on the Japan Tour.
The 26-year-old Colombian told a press conference in Miami this week ahead of the WGC-CA that he understands people are expecting him to do better, the Cox News Service reports.
Villegas said: "I am tough on myself, but I can tell you there''s no internal pressure or anything. The outcome, I can''t control it. I can only control the process.
"Bottom line - I''ve just got to play good golf."
Villegas will play with world number two Phil Mickelson and former Doral champion Craig Parry at the WGC-CA this week.
Tiger Woods is hot favourite to win in Miami after his victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, Orlando last week.
