Woods ''unbeatable in current form''

19/03/2008

Tiger Woods is in such a rich vein of form at the moment that his victory at this week''s WGC-CA Championship is a foregone conclusion.

At least, this is the opinion of BBC golf correspondent Iain Carter, who claims in his weekly column that "right now there is no-one in world golf capable of beating him".

According to Mr Carter, Nike golfer Woods is currently "out on his own" in terms of competition-winning golf, as demonstrated by his ability to raise his performance to the highest level in "tournament after tournament".

He states: "With each win the power of the Tiger merely gains strength.

"Players see him in their wing mirrors and gulp. They know that when it comes down to it there is only ever one winner."

Woods has claimed the WGC-CA title for the last three years and six times in total.

The tournament is being held at the Doral course in Miami, Florida for the second consecutive year. Play begins on Thursday (March 20th).
