After 2 years of frustration with my 'custom fitted irons' I purchased a second hand set of R9's following a recommendation from a friend. Used them for the first time two days later and what a difference. I played to 4 under my handicap. Also took the money at the club sweep stake and had a great game. Very friendly irons and easy to use.

It's early days but I'm very impressed. The R9 irons are very forgiving. Distance is very consistent, even for poor strikes. I think they look great at address. They were one of the few irons that I found that fit between a unwieldy looking cavity back and a scary blade.
