Was looking for some new irons for a while as i have the hunger again to try and improve my golf, i had previously played with Prosimmon Pro Gold and played okish. Saw these clubs within my price range and read quite alot of reviews about them, they arrived from Golfbidder in better condition than described apart from a couple of grips which are quite poor to be honest but overall they are great, service was quick and smooth. I have played with my R7 XD's and WOW what a confidence boost, very forgiving and the distance is awesome, looking forward to my handicap decreasing in the near future. Great choice of irons, just need to get them regripped.

After using a graphite starter set for a year or 2 I bought the R7 XDs and the difference was instantly huge. Smooth and easy to swing, the trajectory looks like a golf shot and they are all coming out straight and true. Great clubs, Great purchase.

Perfect for me

I typically get out and play around 20 rounds each year - I would love to play more but the old story about other obligations sets the limit around 20 rounds :-)
This means my ballstriking isn't very solid, but it also means that the R7 XD clubs feel like they are practically built for me. The lenght you get out off these clubs and the size of the sweetspot is amazing! I think I've cut off at least 1-1½, maybe 2, iron after the change from my old Cobra irons.

Eventually replaced my cally 2002s with these after trying alot of other irons just play one club number less than normal these boys make par 3s alot easier especially when you dont get shots easy to move fade /draw high low , real good pressure clubs ,missfires still get good distance. If your not playing on the tour why would you need anything else. These clubs are gems and really suitable for good ball strikers.

I have been looking for clubs to start improving my handicap and after 2 rounds, these clubs will definitely do it.The extra distance that these clubs give you will help you an awful lot on those long par 3's. These clubs will give you extra confidence when you are hitting the ball.If you have problems hitting the distance with irons (like me), these clubs are for you.

As a quite experienced golfer who, unfortunately, can not spend as much time as I would like out on the course, these clubs are just perfect. I don't have a perfect ballstrike, but these clubs has the biggest sweetspot I've ever exprienced in an iron and almost guaranties a good shot. And, you can still work the ball the way you like without difficulties.
I was very surprised, in a positive way by these clubs.
And thank you golfbidder for providing this super-service and super-concept!

These clubs are simply great. They are understated in their appearance which appeals to me. However don't let the looks fool you into thinking the performance will be understated. These clubs are what I have been looking for since taking up the game 5 years ago. They definately hit the ball two clubs further than anything else I have tried including Callaway and Ping. If you are looking for a long and forgiving club then the XD's are for you. These are extremely special irons. Thanks Golfbidder for an excellent deal.

I have only used these irons once at the range and once on the course, they already feel like my new best friend, i have moved from mizuno TP9's after many delightful years.
These irons certainly show how much technology has advanced, with a sweet spot that appears unmissable, i am yet to hit a bad shot. Thanks Golfbidder for the excellent service.

Prepare to club down!

These clubs are really good! You will get a genuine extra 15 yards per club, easy!! I used to hit 7 iron for 150 yards but with these clubs i only need a 9 iron, max!! Even the longer irons are quite easy to hit, with 200 yards plus with a 4 iron. Very forgiving on bad shots as well. These would suit mid handicappers looking for extra length or older players struggling with their older clubs. they will give you extra length.

long,forgiving irons!!

i tried these clubs out at my local driving range and i couldnt use them and forgot about them, then i played a round with one of my friends who had a set and tried them out on the course, and all i can say is SUPERB!!!!these irons are really long and very forgiving, and these are the first set of cavity backs ive had where you can really work the ball also!i think these would be suited to low end to about an 18 handicapper as if you do hit a REALLY bad shot itll go wrong and very long so you can say goodbye to your golf balls!but that is the extremely bad shots.awsome iron from the r7 range!!!!
