About Ping Rapture

Ping Rapture irons. Ping Rapture iron rely on strategic use of titanium, steel and tungsten to create a high-performance, multi-material iron. Careful analysis and application of each material yields forgiveness and trajectory improvements while creating a face and cavity design that produces a solid, pleasing feel and sound. The 17-4 stainless steel body, titanium face and tungsten toe weight are engineered to create maximum forgiveness. The wide sole created by the undercut cavity design positions the centre of gravity further back to improve launch angles for higher, lower spinning shots that resist ballooning and land softly. The lightweight titanium face allows 25 grams of weight to be re-distributed to the perimeter for increased forgiveness while a 20 gram, high-density tungsten toe weight increases forgiveness for added accuracy and consistency. The larger custom tuning port helps stabilize the face by maximizing the surface area it covers, improving feel. The softer insert combined with the larger custom tuning port gives these irons exceptional feel and sound.

Clubs arrived last week, didn't get a chance to practice with them as by the time I got to the range on Friday evening they were closed. Early start on the course the next morning and they worked like a dream. So much more forgiving than my old clubs - more distance and accuracy straight away. Now if I can just work on my sand game I should be able to start breaking 90 regularly...

The pings are great,they feel softer in the strike than my old G2s and I get a lot higher flight with the raptures. May have to change grips they seem thicker than my old clubs.

I was previously fitted by Ping for the Rapture V2 having first tried the original Raptures of my playing partner and was very impressed by them. When I decided to buy the V2 had come onto the market. I could not get on with the V2 and sold them. I now have the original model bought here on Golfbidder and find them much easier to use than the V2.

I am a Ping fan so when I saw the rapture irons for sale on your website at about half the new price I thought it worth the risk of repacing my 12 year old ping i3 irons, and what a revelation, these clubs just have to be the best that Ping offer ,so forgiving with wonderful balance and feel, they have given me so much confidence I now rarely bother with woods from the fairway,the medium irons are so accurate and forgiving.
