Used to have a V Steel many years ago, but sold it and have regretted doing so ever since. Found the Golfbidder website and was surprised to see they had a 3 and 5 wood available. Bought them and will keep them in the bag for good. Comparable performance to any new fairway wood, but costs much less. Value for your money.

Love the sound those TaylorMade's make. Already hitting it quite well first round in, will get even better with time.

A much, much better club than all the hight-tech, adjustable, whatever moveable new clubs the companies try to sell us today

I have never used the service before and have always bought new, however as this club is no longer available the site was recommended. The product has been excellent and would highly recommend the service.

I'm an average golfer who only gets to play occassionally and could not "get on" with my driver..have G5 10.5 and R7 9.5..very inconsistent and prone to wild slices. Have been using G5 15 degree 3 wood from the tee with good success but always wished I could squeeze more distance..average 200-220 yds with consistent fade. Just back from driving range with 13 degree vsteel with xstiff steel shaft..it's consistently 30yds longer than the G5..dispersion not as tight as G5 but not bad either. Went to pro at weekend who recommended Taylormade G9 8.5 degree..€390! V Steel. 13 degrees seems to give me a more penetrating ball flight and extra roll than the driver which mostly ballooned. Definitely worth a try...sound at impact is sweet.

the club condition was rated 6 6 6, so i bought it as it was only £50 and thoughtt "it will probably have sky marks on it and the picture just makes it look good" but when i got the club it came with an aldila NV green shaft and a funky yellow & black grip on AND an amazing head cover, club head in amazing condition, with only one or two abrasions on top, golf bidder, your very harsh graders! i would have given it 8 8 8! oh well im not complaining!
cant wait to try it out on the course, hit my friends and it went 240+ longer than i hit my driver, exellent service, ill be using golfbidder for ever now, thankyou!

I have been waiting for a 4 wood for a while, having already got a 7 wood, now my set is complete, the 7 wood has never let me down and I know the recently bought 4 wood will be the same,it gives a feel of confidence at address, and if well hit goes a country mile, the V STEEL club are probably the best fairway wood Taylormade have made ,as usual great service from Golfbidder

Great service from Golfbidder, despite me ordering the wrong shaft option to start with. Returned and refunded swiftly.
The club is as expected (I already have the 3 wood) a godsend, now if I can just find a 7 wood my collection will be complete

I have been looked for this FW first model since long time and finaly found it here. The selling price was 75 pounds but it is worth more than. Easy to use, especially, the feeling is so good ! Thanks for Golfbidder, quick action for shipping.

The last of the classic 3-woods. Before square, pear-shaped or weight-bias golf clubs TaylorMade produced two classic 3-woods: this is one of them. As simple as it is stylish, the V-steel (and if you were wondering the R580)does everything a 3-wood should. Most importantly it looks right at address,it sits squarely and instils confidence either off a tee peg or off the deck. The simple fact is the head and shaft combination have not and probably will not be bettered.

Firstly what service from Golfbidder, thanks guys! Unfortunately i havn't managed to get a round in yet but i have taken a visit to the range. If you want a 3 wood that looks good, feels comfortable and gives confidence at adress, flys straight of the club face and carrys 200-220 yards this is the club for you. Feels great to hit every time off the tee and off the floor. Great club for the price will be in the bag for a long time to come!!

I have been playing for 2 years and love these clubs. They are very forgiving and long and straight, managing to completely stop my intial tendency to slice. Sound great when in use. Fully recommended -getting harder to find, so thanks golfbidder. I have the 3,5 and 7.

So far, and my golf is unpredictable best score 78, worst 105 average low to mid 80s.This club has surpassed all my dreams, I have a collection of top branded fairway woods and have been desperate for the last 8 months to sort it. I can control club, draw, straight and match my best distance with a fairway wood. It has a lightweight regular shaft and I have no idea why taylormade discontinued them. I didnt find the r7 nearly as good.or the other brands. It may be I have a pured shaft but this model is worth serious consideration

The first time that I used a friend's V Steel I hit probably my best tee shot ever. As a result I've started my own collection and this 9 wood has joined the 5 wood I bought earlier. Both clubs make it easy to hit long straight shots and have a great feel both throughout the swing and at the moment of contact. I plan to complete the set with a 3 wood when funds allow. The 9 wood was in virtually new condition and excellent value for such a top class club.

I was looking for a 4 wood instead of carrying both a 3 and 5 wood. I'm used to play with V Steel, because the sound and the trajectory is perfect for my game. As allways Golfbidder has an excellent service, and the club was delivered just as scheduled.

Ray17golf H.Cap (10) 25.10.07
Excellent club, very easy to use from most lies, fairway / rough / and a T peg. I have been looking for something that I can use from the T and the turf - this is definitely the club.
I tried 3 wood with inconsistent results, Tried Rescue wood with some improvement but The V steel 4 wood is the best all-rounder I have had in the 11 years I have been playing – I hit it about 215 carry and most importantly reasonably straight, would defiantly recommend.
westlad H.Cap (4) 30.05.07
Dropped the 3wd and the 5wd and carry this beauty instead, that little bit easier off the fairway than the 3wd. Look to use it at every opportunity I can, sweet contact sound off the clubhead and lovely feel.
tleatherbarrow H.Cap (5) 12.03.07
Great golf club, particularly if you like a lower flight to your ball. Bought it primarily for tight tee shots on short par 4s but was mindful of the fact that I still needed to be able to hit it off the deck. This club does both (surprisingly well off the fairway for a 13 degree club) and has added approx' 20 yards for both types of shot.
Highly recommended!
legend49 H.Cap (14) 16.01.07
I received this club within 24 hours, very well packaged and in good condition considering the reasonable price. I was looking for a shaft with these characteristics and weight and this club entirely met my requirements. I cannot think of any other source than Golfbidder where my requirements could be so readily met at such a price. I have used the club at the range and for 2 rounds and find I hit this club better than my old callaway steel head 3 wood with a regular shaft.
3northco H.Cap (6) 01.12.06
A fantastic club, bought it alongside the Nike SQ and when that doesn't work this is wonderful off the tee and off the deck. Very accurate with the steel shaft and can work it easily left and right, with a great sound on contact. Can hit bout 230-240 off the tee and 220-230 off the deck. 10 out of 10 for me!
mrshelts H.Cap (21) 28.08.06
what a club the 3+ v-steel is.If you struggle with a driver get one of these. Great off the fairway, great off the tee.
jonny9iron H.Cap (28) 26.08.06
The first shot i hit with this in the nets was my first shot with a 3-wood, i thought i might need to do a bit of practice with it but i took it straight out onto the course and my first shot with it didn't even feel that brilliant but the ball went dead straight and a longer distance than i would have hoped for just five yards short of the green. I can't wait to take it out again and hit a good shot with it. Wonderful club and wonderful golbidder service!
Bumbly H.Cap (17) 13.08.06
I have found this club extremely easy to use both from the rough and the fairway. It has accuracy and distance and outperforms all "rescue" type clubs that I have tried. It has definitely improved my scores and I am now considering other V Steel Fairway clubs.

Since receiving the wood, which was in excellent condition, I have nothing but praise. The weight and feel is perfect for my swing. Every contact with ball is crisp. I recommend to all.

Having just received my Taylor Made 3 Wood from Golfbidder I am absolutely delighted with its condition and even more so with its performance on the golf course. It has significantly increased my length and accuracy both off the tee and fairway. The claims by Taylor Made are fully justified.

Good clubhead, sits tight on fairway lies, looks and plays strong. Not keen on steel shaft, will be re-shafting with graphite.

One of the best clubs in my bag and would not be without them. I've now added the 5 wood to the 3 wood. Easy to hit from most lies the v steel series is a dependable club which has taken a number of shots off my game.
dtguyatt H.Cap (13) 18.03.05
Taylormade V steel woods are quite simply the best fairway woods I have come across. I did a lot of reseacrh before buying my 3 wood and was recommended taylormade v steel. After using it for the last 9 months I can categorically confirm they are fantastic. I have recently added a 7 wood to my collection and this has also impressed me. They look good, they are pretty long and don't lose any forgiveness. I would recommend this club to any player of a 15 handicap and below.
