Brandt Snedeker
Residence: Nashville, Tennessee
DOB: 08/12/1980
Brandt was born in Nashville, Tennessee and attended Montgomery Bell Academy and then Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of the Chi Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.
As an armature Brandt won the U.S. Amateur Public Links in 2003 before turning professional in 2004.
Brandt played on the Nationwide Tour from 2004 until 2006, when he finished in the top 10 of the tour money list after victories at the Showdown at Somerby and the Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic, thus earning a PGA Tour spot for 2007.
Brandt received immediate attention in January 2007 after shooting a course record equalling 61 in the first round of the Buick Invitational. He led the tournament by three strokes after 36 holes but due to a 74 in the third round he finished in third place.
Later in the year he recorded an impressive tie for 12th position at the ‘5th Major’ The Player Championship. This season was topped by Brandt winning his first PGA Tour title. It came at the Wyndham Championship. This was the last regular season event before the FedEx Cup play-offs. After all this it was no surprise that Brandt was named as PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
At the 2008 Masters, Snedeker finished four strokes under par to finish tied for 3rd place. This was his best finish of the season - but he still recorded 6 top-10 finishes to finish the season in 34th place on the PGA Tour Money List.
2009 has not got off to a great start either. He has only made 3 cuts so far and is currently 170th on the Money list.

Brandt Snedeker Tournament History
2009 Arnold Palmer Invitational |
26-29 March 2009 - Bay Hill Country Club and Lodge - This week marked the return of the Tiger Woods we all know and love. After 9 months out of action after re-constructive knew surgery - a birdie putt at the 72nd hole saw Tiger win as Bay Hill for a sixth time. Those familiar back-nine heroics and a putt that everyone knew he was going to drain saw the world number 1 come from 5 strokes back on the final day - equalling his career best comeback. This remarkable comeback must have been great to watch apart from the eyes of Sean O’Hair who Woods beat into second place. |
In Brandt Snedeker's bag...Brandt made only his third cut of the season this week. An opening round of 73 and things looked as if they may have been slipping away from the American. He managed to qualify for the weekend with a second round of 70. His low round of 67 in the third elevated him into the top-20 for the first time this year and he consolidated this with a 72 in the final round to finish in a tie for 17th. Again here we can clearly see that Brandt was using the same TaylorMade R7 TP irons that we saw him with last season. The TaylorMade Rescue Mid is still topless but what I assume is still a TaylorMade Burner Tour TP has a headcover on now so cannot confirm that he is using this in 2009. In a similar situation to the Burner Tour TP we cannot see the Cleveland Wedges or Odyssey Rossie putter that we saw him with last term.

2008 Arnold Palmer Invitational |
13-16 March - Arnold Palmer Invitational - Bay Hill Club and Lodge. In typical Tiger fashion, the world #1 sank a 24-foot putt on the 72nd hole at Bay Hill for his fifth consecutive win, much to the annoyance of Bart Bryant who was looking for his first win since 2005. This was his biggest challenge since this streak began 7 months ago, Woods outlasted 45-year-old Bart Bryant and won with a birdie putt on the 72nd hole for the first time in 7 years. He turned and slammed his cap to the ground, letting out a roar to celebrate his 64th career victory, tying Ben Hogan at #3 on the PGA Tour career list. |
In Brandt Snedeker's bag...Opening round of 70 saw Brandt going into the weekend on level par. He managed to get into red number on Saturday with a 2-under 68 and then followed this with a 69 on the final day to secure a top-15 finish for the 4th time this season. This is a cracking photo of Brant bag this week. It is the first time that we have seen the TaylorMade Tour Burner TP without its headcover on. We can also see a TaylorMade Rescue Mid without its headcover on. Brant’s irons are TaylorMade R7 TP’s - we can just make out the TP badge on them. We can also just make out the Cleveland 588 Ta wedges that Brant was carrying this week. Although we cannot see it - we’re informed that Brant was using a Odyssey White Hot XG Rossie putter.
