Sonartec SS 2.5 (Mid Face) Fairway wood. New for 2006. The SS2.5 updates the best selling SS02 with slight modifications to improve performance even further. The major innovation is the use of the new ST-385 ‘Hot Face’ alloy which increases ball velocity at impact, adding 10 - 15 yards for Tour-level players.The perimeter weighting system has also been further improved to tighten the dispersion rate and make it even easier to get the ball airborne. The mid face design of the SS2.5 is designed to be ideal for all players from low to high handicap, producing a high launch, low spin ball flight, making it easy to get in the air without losing any penetrating distance. Driving Cavity on the sole allows for greater distance and control and a better balance weight distribution across the face of the club, resulting in more stability on heel/toe miss-hits and a wider sweet spot. Deeper Centre of Gravity (CG) creates a penetrating ball flight with no balloon effect making the ball less apt to be affected by the wind.

excellent service from golfbidder delivered right on time & the club in better condition than described. The sonartec 5 wood is a great club, real penetrating flight even into the wind & outperforms some well known 3 woods used by my golf chums. May well come back for a 7 wood

having hit this club down the range, I found it a little harder to feel the ball on the clubhead, but did enjoy the lower more penetrating flight. Hopefully with the winter to work with it, this club will be the one I'm looking for next season to get back to category 1

I can see why a lot of the pros use this club, it is extremely powerful off the deck. You need to peg it low if using it off the tee. Gives a low penetrating ball flight with bags of run. You can tell when you catch it right, flys very straight. I would give it a ten, but for the fact that there is no alignment aid on the top of the face. Not the best quality head cover I've ever come across but will do the job. Overall really good club, £50 cheaper from Golf Bidder than all my other quotes. 9 out of ten
